They attend to the many details of preparation including altar linens, wine and hosts and a myriad of other tasks to provide for a prayerful setting when the Mass is spoken. Weddings, funerals, and baptisms are also settings where sacristans provide their services for the Mass in the ceremony conducted. We believe in the real presence of Jesus, who died for our sins. As we receive Christ's Body and Blood, we also are nourished spiritually and brought closer to God. The Eucharist is brought to the homebound by Care Ministers. Arrangements are made by calling the Parish Office. First Holy Communion preparation for children begins during first grade and continues into second grade where students will celebrate and receive their first holy communion in the spring of second grade.
