EVENTS AT ST. JOHN NEWMAN PARISH What's Happening EVENTS Calendar Gallery At St. John Newman Parish, we have several organizations that foster both individual needs and the needs of the parish. St. John Newman is a fun, cohesive parish because of several reasons: church, school and all of the opportunities to connect with one another. Parishioners can share their time and talents, and enrich their lives and the lives of others, by becoming more involved in any of our parish organizations and activities. It is a great way to better come to know the people we sit with in the pews each week.

WOMEN'S CLUB Girl Scouts Cub Scouts MINISTRIES HOME Knights of Columbus Men's Club Women's Club Youth & Young Adult Contact: Juli Carlin | julicarlin@yahoo.com Holly Pickering | hollydpickering@yahoo.com “God is in the midst of her, she can't be moved” Psalm 46:5 Welcome to the Women’s Club of St. John Newman Parish. For years, the Women’s Clubs at both parishes have helped form the backbone of parish life. As we merge the two organizations, we look forward to continuing traditions, supporting the parish, nurturing one another, and growing together. Why a Women's Club? We know that where two or three are gathered in Christ’s name, He is in their midst (Matthew 18:19-20). The Women’s Club provides women of the parish an opportunity to come together in the sisterhood of Christ. Whether it’s praying together or playing together, the Women’s Club events, both spiritual and fun, build a community to carry us through all the seasons of our lives. Who is in the Women's Club? All the women of the newly united St. Athanasius and St. Joan of Arc Parish. No dues or registration required, please just come to events. And bring friends! Who is leading the Women's Club? Parishioners Juli Carlin and Holly Pickering are co-leading the Women's Club for 2024-2025. Your participation is encouraged and all are welcome to attend meetings (schedule to come). Women’s Club Sponsored Events to come: Turkey Trot (a traveling party, not a race!), Advent by Candlelight, Parish Christmas Party, Lenten Small Group Book Discussions, Theater Night, and Lenten Evening of Reflection. Welcoming Feedback As we embark on this newly imagined journey together over the next year, we welcome your feedback. What events or activities would help you grow your faith? Grow in friendships? How can we improve? How would you like to be involved? Email Juli Carlin or Holly Pickering . REGISTER

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION Eucharistic Adoration Sacraments Mass Schedule WORSHIP Reconciliation Wednesdays St. Joan of Arc | 5:30 - 7pm The mission of the Eucharistic Adoration ministry is to provide a quiet time and place for prayer in the presence of the Lord’s host, the Eucharist. To re-invigorate adoration in the worldwide church as urged by Pope John Paul II, St. John Newman Parish provides a solemn space for prayer and adoration each week. Persons of all ages are welcome to join in this time of reverence and to experience a close encounter with the Eucharist, which is on the altar during this time. Sometimes described as an opportunity for a deeper encounter with inner beliefs, Adoration can be a time to settle and focus on faith and experience a unique relationship to prayer. To participate in this ministry, join us at our St. Joan of Arc campus to pray during Adoration each Wednesday from 5:30 - 7pm .
